The British Touring Car Championship, also known as the BTCC, has been held since 1958. Unlike some other touring car series, the BTCC uses cars that are built to Super 2000 regulations which are the technical requirements used in the WTCC or World Touring Car Championship. The season runs from late March to late September and is comprised of 10 different calendar race days with 3 rounds taking place at each circuit for a total of 30 rounds. The 2008 BTCC season will feature 26 drivers and 14 teams.
