The 2008 Honda 200 will take place at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Troy Township, Ohio, United States. This circuit has been around since 1962. It is 3.62km or 2.25 miles in length and consists of 13 turns. This will be the 2^nd year that the Honda 200 will be a part of the Indy Racing League having made its debut in 2007. The 2007 edition of the race was won by New Zealand's Scott Dixon who was driving for Chip Ganassi Racing.

The most recent IndyCar race was the Firestone Indy 200 which took place at the Nashville Superspeedway. Chip Ganassi Racing had a stellar race with both Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon finishing in the top two spots for maximum points. Andretti Green Racing also had a good showing with Brazilian Tony Kanaan finishing 4^th while Danica Patrick had her best finish in some time by coming in 5^th. With 4 first place finishes on the season, Scott Dixon presently holds a healthy 63 point lead over 2^nd place Castroneves.
